INTERNSHIPS

The Mountaineers Books is accepting applications for ten-week internships available throughout the year. We offer Editorial/Acquisitions, Production, Sales, Marketing, Marketing Graphic Design, and Publicity internships. Mountaineers Books interns attend department meetings, work closely with top editors and department heads, and gain hands-on experience at one of the nation's leading outdoor-oriented publishers.

Duration & Compensation
The internship is part-time and unpaid. We prefer that interns commit to working ten hours per week for ten weeks, although we will try to accommodate conflicting schedules.

Qualifications
Most successful applicants have studied a subject related to the desired internship for at least one to two years in college, or possess equivalent experience and skills. However, we encourage all of those with a strong interest in book publishing—and a desire to learn and work hard—to apply.

Application
To apply, email a letter, resume, and work samples to the appropriate email address. The most promising candidates will be contacted by phone and invited to interview.

Programs
Along with the general requirements, each of our internships each has specific qualifications and duties.
