Short Biography: The Waitsfield, Vermont-based nonprofit Northern Forest Canoe Trail organization began developing the Trail in 2000 to be a recreational resource for paddlers, as well as a means to celebrate the history and culture of the Northern Forest region and to provide an economic development driver for communities there.
