Warehouse Associate
Marketing Intern

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

 Mountaineers Books, a non-profit outdoor books publisher, seeks a full-time Warehouse Associate beginning as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate is dependable and detail oriented. Experience with warehouse and fulfillment operations or shipping and receiving preferred, but not necessary. Retail experience or experience with inventory management or point of sale software preferred, but not necessary. High school diploma required, certificate or associate’s degree preferred.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Distribution Center Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will pick, pack, and ship orders for retailers, wholesalers, and consumers at our Harbor Island warehouse. Responsibilities also include receiving and restocking returns and assisting with inventory management and the maintenance of a neat and orderly warehouse.

 Physical requirements: Repetitive heavy lifting and ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Job Type: Full-time FLSA non-exempt

Compensation: $21.50 per hour

Work Environment:

This role is based in Seattle, WA, at the Mountaineers Books offices on Harbor Island. By the nature of the work, this is an entirely on-site position. We are a 100% vaccinated workplace. One or more dogs are occasionally present in the offices.

social media Marketing Intern

This internship is only open to students currently enrolled in college. We will bring on one intern per year.

Summer Internship Period
June 1 - September 1 (start/end dates flexible based on student schedule)

Internship Details

Reporting to the marketing manager you will assist with a variety of marketing tasks related to social media. This will include designing graphic and video assets, writing posts, research, and other tasks as needed. Additional tasks to be determined by company needs and intern’s interest and skillset. 
Interns must be available 10 hours per week for the full duration of the internship. Partially remote options available, but interns must commit to coming into the office once a week. We are happy to work with student’s academic institution to meet needs for fulfillment of academic credit.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
  • Must be over 18 years of age. 
  • Must have access to a reliable internet source and laptop computer. 
  • Must be familiar with social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok and Instagram.
  • Preference for interns with video filming and editing skills as well as graphic design skills.
